This magazine was created as a university project. It is a 64-page magazine on music festivals around the world, focusing on the Belgian summer event 'Tomorrowland'. It also features articles on Eurovision, Coachella, and more.
The general style of the magazine in very modern, with elaborate graphics and fonts, communicating the lively spirit of the various music festivals that are present in the magazine.
Two numbers of this magazine have been created: the first one being the main magazine, focusing on all festivals, and the second one, which focuses on the 'Coachella' music festival in California, USA.
The first section of the magazine is a showcase of postmodern design from the 1980s, while the second part explores the phenomenon of the first arcade games and their evolution, all while maintaining a postmodern design.
The postmodern section is an in-depth study of the lives and the works of female designers from the 1980s and 1990s, including Deborah Sussman, Paula Scher, April Greiman and Susan Kare.
In the second section, the whole history of arcade games is studied, from the very first videogame to the modern-day ways of playing and the implementation of popular franchises into movies, merchandise, theme parks etc.
The book cover is a photograph for the French version of the book 'Murder on the Orient Express' by Agatha Christie.
The photograph showcases a magnifying glass laid on a red velvet fabric. The light is warm yet dim, to express a mysterious and dark mood.
The overall look of the picture reminds the viewer of the late 1800s, era in which the narration of the book is set.
